NWEA
Fall NWEA Testing ends today. Thank you so much for all of your help with testing. A special shout out is going out to Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Trolinger for owning the task of getting make up's completed! You are amazing...and "thank you" so much!
Bathroom Breaks
Please make sure you are getting a visual of the bathrooms before sending students in to use the bathroom and following your class using the bathroom. This is how we can monitor the bathrooms' cleanliness consistently.
CHAMPS and Social Contracts
I have noticed that several of you still do not have your Social Contracts completed and posted, and/or your CHAMPS posted and in use. This must be done by end of day Monday.
Intervention Services
All Intervention Services will begin their roll out on Monday. Plan for the Interventionists to be pushing into your classrooms to service your students during the Reading Mastery and/or Corrective Reading times. Please make sure that there is a designated area for them to work.
Chromebooks
Please make sure that you are monitoring the use and storage of your classroom Chromebooks. It is vital that students do not remove Chromebooks from your classroom or take them home. As such, you should have a procedure in place for accountability for all chromebooks assigned to your room.
Grade Level Newsletters
I'm still not receiving all of these. Please make sure I'm included in your contact list.
3-5 Wing Parent Meeting
This event occurs on Wednesday, September 25th from 5:00-6:00 pm. This is a reinstituting of Wing Parent Meetings that occurred prior to the Pandemic. As such, it is very important that all parents attend this meeting. Please make sure that you are advertising this event and the importance of parents being in attendance in your weekly SchoolConnect.
You are expected to be in attendance. We will all first meet in the gym parents, admin, and teachers. As a team (teachers and admin), we will review academic expectations, student behavior expectations, and parent expectations. At some point, you will take your parents back to your classroom.
You will want to make sure that your classroom is clean, decorated well (as parents will be comparing you...sorry...this always happens based upon how your room looks), and that there is completed/corrected student work on their individual desks for parents to see. At that time, you will be able to talk about your room, individual expectations for your students etc.
This meeting will only last one (1) hour...5:00-6:00 pm.
